How It Works

I use AncestryDNA in combination with other DNA and research databases to attempt to help discover the identity of birth families.

The search for birth parents is a collaborative process that involves a steady exchange of information. I prefer to keep in contact in order to discuss leads, ask questions, and pass on any information I discover.

While some people know absolutely nothing about their birth families, many others will have clues such as birth dates and locations. We will discuss all the circumstances surrounding your particular case. I will also give you my primary impressions after an initial assessment of the available data.

DNA is only the beginning of the search for biological family. Newspaper archives, obituaries, directories, and yes, especially Facebook, all have their part to play in piecing together the identity of biological family.
